🌱🌍 How Do We Measure Soil Carbon in Our Alberami | Regenerative Farming Agro Ecology Italy Project?

At Alberami, we’re committed to revolutionizing sustainable agriculture. One critical question we often encounter is: How do we quantify soil carbon in our projects? Here’s how we do it step-by-step, guided by the rigorous VM0042 and VMD0053 methodology:

1️⃣ Stratification – We segment soil compartments based on their similarities and further divide them by the types of crops where our practices are being applied.

2️⃣ Sampling Design – Using pedomorpho-climatic zones and distinct crop types, we select random sampling points that cover the full scope of our project.

3️⃣ Biogeochemical Modeling – Leveraging the #RothC model, we gain precise insights into carbon stocks across the landscape.

4️⃣ Data Collection – We conduct baseline and post-implementation soil sampling, followed by calibration and validation of our models to ensure #accuracy and #reliability.

Every Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) cycle kicks off with fresh soil sampling to validate and refine our approach. And now, we’re excited to enter a new #MRV phase! 🚀

👉 This process not only quantifies carbon accurately but also helps us drive meaningful impact in regenerative agriculture and climate action. Join us as we continue to build a sustainable future! 🌿
